When asked why she is a photographer, Singeli most often talks about the opportunity it provides to experience life, to look with new eyes at the world and be constantly learning. The intimate stories and experiences of individuals become pieces of a larger puzzle of cultures, politics, and beliefs. What is it to be human? What is it to be a part of a place, an age-group, a belief structure, a time in history? People live, dye, love, grieve, organize, toil, worship, and create in ways that are simultaneously completely different from each other yet completely familiar.
